I just read the awful news that Donna Summer has passed away at the age of 63. I could not let this day pass without paying tribute to one of the most amazing American icons to ever hold a microphone. The "Queen of Disco" lit up dance floors in the 1970's and her songs continue to get feet moving everywhere from weddings to clubs in the city. She will be truly missed.
The other sad news is that she happened to be working on a new album when she passed away. Truly upsetting news.
